The passion for building the Toothbuckle brand came from a need I personally had in my previous role. I had spent ten years in the airlines business, first as a cabin crew and then as a cabin manager.
I would experience and see from others there was a real lack of plastic-free oral care products that really were effective and fit the user when at home or when travelling.
I knew if we set out to create a considered solution to what we saw were some major issues around our oral hygiene and the planet.
So along with my business partner, we both quit our jobs and started to develop a more compelling alternative, this became the drive in creating the ultimate solution.
And the two-fold company mission: to leave the world a better place than we found it: and people better off before they found us.
I, like my business partner, are both females from the BAME community and we really wanted to showcase how with inspired design we could fill the gap in the market with high quality, innovative, sustainable toothbrush cover that reduces bacterial growth in-between brushing alongside swapping out your plastic polluting toothbrushes for a bamboo toothbrush which is far kinder to you and the environment.
We know by changing customers behave and simply choosing a sustainable option has the potential to create a positive impact on the worldwide plastic disaster.
